CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam Analysis
Latest Education News, NEW DELHI – Thousands of Class 12 Mathematics board examinations were being held on Monday across the country with thousands of students participating. Initial candidate and subject reviews have shown that the paper had a good structure and balance, although most of them thought it was time-consuming. Despite the fact that the general challenge was rated as moderate, one part was a major challenge to many.

Mixed Reactions to Difficulty Levels
The three-hour test, which started at 10:30 a.m., received both positive and negative responses among the students. To the great majority, the paper was not too complicated, and one had to concentrate a lot in order to complete it within the given time. According to the CBSE students, although questions were mostly constructed according to the NCERT syllabus, the problem was of an application-based nature, and it was impossible to use only rote learning.
Some of the applicants observed that questions in Section A (Multiple Choice Questions) were relatively easy but sometimes tricky and required calculation, and could not be solved immediately with mental calculations. The short-answer questions of the style of sections B and C were generally characterized as of average difficulty, which is well compatible with the official CBSE sample papers.
Section D: The Crucial Bottleneck
Most of the examinees agreed that Section D offered the most challenging time. This is a long-answer section with five-mark questions that require multi-step problems and complicated calculations. The Calculus, Vectors, and Three-dimensional Geometry were some of the major subjects of this section of the paper.
It was not an impossible paper, but it was certainly the most difficult part, according to Tanishka, who is a student of a government school in Delhi. She wrote that there was a difficult calculation process and no time to revise it afterwards. This was also shared by another student, Komal, who noted that some questions would need a very profound knowledge of conceptual application, and these questions seemed more challenging to answer than those that could have been in standard textbooks.
Expert Insights and Syllabus Alignment
The board has received accolades in the form of a well-written paper by teachers and education professionals who evaluated its abilities in analysis. Dr. Alka Kapur, Principal of Modern Public School, noted that though there was fairness in the paper, there were minor deviations in the patterns. Particularly, a five-mark question in 3D Geometry of the two-point form of a line confused others, because this is not clearly discussed in the main NCERT book.
Other teachers mentioned some minor typographical problems, including the lack of brackets in some sets, but these did not significantly affect the overall solvability of the exam. Scholars had indicated that students who had practised the question papers (PYQs) of the past years, as well as those who had concentrated on the clarity of concepts, were likely to score well.
Performance Expectations
Although the paper is quite long, the scoring will be healthy as perceived by many teachers. The fact that the internal choices were included in some of the sections allowed the students to cope with the more problematic problems. According to one of the senior educators, the case-study questions were actually very approachable this year, and the competency-based questions gave people the chance to earn the marks by their reasoning.
The Mathematics paper is still one of the crucial milestones of the Class 12 students since they are looking at competitive engineering and commerce courses. Although the moderate level might raise some anxiety, it is generally agreed that the paper is a fair evaluation of a year of preparation of a student. Board exam results will be announced within the next few months once the evaluation of answer scripts nationwide is done.
