Noida Couple Found Dead in Car; Family Suspects Murder Over Caste Disputes

The victims have been established as a thirty-two-year-old man and a twenty-eight-year-old woman, who are apparently in a decade-long relationship. They were discovered in a parked vehicle next to a residential complex and were taken to the mortuary, where they underwent a post-mortem examination as the forensic teams madly searched the area trying to find evidence.

The Discovery and Initial Evidence

The accident was highlighted when the local inhabitants noticed a parked car with its headlights on abnormally long. On further observation, it was realized that the two persons were sitting in the front seats. The police were informed right away and came into the house to discover the dead bodies of both victims due to gunshot wounds. Even a gun was found inside the vehicle.

The latest news update showed that there was a sad ending to a long-term affair. Before the bodies were found, the male subject was reported to have changed his WhatsApp status and sent messages to his acquaintances. One of the texts, which has since become a center of attention of the research, was one she ditched after 15 years. This text prompted the investigators to assume that the male could have acted in extreme ways because of some rift in their long-term relationship that occurred suddenly.

The initial theories of police that were given include the possibility of the male person shooting the female and turning the weapon on himself. The fact that the incident happened on the weekend of Valentine day gave a dark aspect to the story, as it were, suggesting a crime of passion or planned out.

Allegations of Caste-Based Violence

The situation, however, took a different twist when the family of the male visited the police station. They have decisively dismissed the suicide-murder hypothesis with an alleged murder by the relatives of the female. In an official complaint, the father of the male alleged that his son had been faced with death threats over a number of weeks.

The family claimed that the major trigger of the friction was the difference in caste between the couple. The kin of the male, according to them, strongly objected to their union and had instructed the male to separate himself. The father claimed that the suicide note or WhatsApp status had been made or was sent under duress to mislead the officials.

“This is not a suicide. My son was being pressured and threatened by her brothers and father for a long time because we belong to a different community,” the father told local media. 

“They have made it look like he killed her and himself, but we believe they were lured there and executed.”

Forensic Challenges and Police Response

These two contradictory narrations are being reconciled by officials of the Noida Police. Although the initial evidence of the locked car and the location of the gun indicated the localized incident, the official charges of murder and caste-based intimidation have forced the investigation to include a wider scope.

One of the senior police officials in the case said that the electronic footprints of both victims were under analysis. The call logs, whereabouts history, and the time of receiving the messages on the phone of the male are under scrutiny. The officer is also checking CCTV footage of the area to see whether there was any other car or person who had approached the car in the time frame of the incident.

The weapon that was discovered in the vehicle is being tested by ballistic specialists in order to determine its source and whether it was a licensed pistol or a black-market country-made pistol.
